Our camp
The Sammamish Day Camp is a 100 percent volunteer-led day camp, created to bring together Girl Scouts in the Issaquah and Sammamish communities. Our camp is staffed by trained, background-checked, dedicated adult volunteers from our local Girl Scout Community as well as Program Aides (PAs, Girl Scout counselors) from local middle school and high schools. Camp runs 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday for one week in the summer, and is filled with a wide range of creative and engaging activities. While making new friends and challenging themselves in new ways, campers will develop community through campwide songs, explore the outdoors in unique manners, participate in local and global community service projects and much more! Registration fees include the week of camp, a camp T-shirt, a patch, special programming and more!
Campers
Our campers include any Scout entering kindergarten in the fall through sixth-grade.

Older Scouts build valuable leadership skills while they pass on longstanding traditions to younger campers.
Teens lead
Each year our Camp trains dozens of incoming 7th graders to become Camp leaders in our weeklong Program Aide Training.
Once their training year is complete, teens become Camp leaders as Program Aides. Program Aides plan all aspects of the campers’ experiences, and guide campers through Camp traditions.
Many Program Aides return as adult volunteers after they graduate from high school.
Why we need YOU – adult volunteers!
Girl Scout Sammamish Day Camp is a 100 percent volunteer-led camp, meaning there are no paid employees. With volunteers the camp is able to makes a huge difference in lives of hundreds of young girls in our community.
Volunteering benefits include: Making a difference in the life of a Girl Scout, guaranteed registration, boys unit and Pre-K unit available for siblings while the parent is on site, enjoy the outdoors and meet some other really great people in our community. Kids of adult volunteers receive guaranteed placement for their campers. Once we have enough volunteers committed, we will open up regular camper registration.
The Girl Scout Promise
On my honor, I will try:
To serve God and my country,
To help people at all times,
And to live by the Girl Scout Law.
The Girl Scout Law
I will do my best to be
honest and fair,
friendly and helpful,
considerate and caring,
courageous and strong, and
responsible for what I say and do,
and to
respect myself and others,
respect authority,
use resources wisely,
make the world a better place, and
be a sister to every Girl Scout.
