Daily themes were influenced by the magic in different books.

Summer of 2018 - Earth, Wind, Fire & Water

Camp took on aspects of one of the elements each day with a focus on our place in the world and how we can help make the world a better place.

Summer of 2017 - May the Forrest be with You

Girls focused on team building, outdoor skills, and the environment. With a nod to Star Wars, each day campers visited different planets to learn about different ecologies.


​Summer of 2016 - Forget the Box, Think Outside (year 10)



​Celebrating SDC's 10th Anniversary! The theme for 2016 wasForget the Box, Think Outside! Girls learned great outdoor skills while they also revisit some of the camp's favorite activities.

Summer of 2015 - Everyday Heroes (year 9)

Girls built courage and confidence to be an everyday hero while still enjoying traditional camp activities.  Our girls learned that giving is just not about money; it is also about giving your time...your voice...your passions...your heart...your energy...your creativity....and yourself to make a different however small or large.  They became everyday heroes! 


Summer of 2014 - Sisters around the World (year 8)

We traveled through time and space to experience our Sisters Around the World.  Campers explored a girls' life in Asia, attend a European medieval carnival, trek through wild jungles of Africa, experience the color creations of South America and fun water activities, and trek through Australia .

Summer of 2013 - Let your Spirit Soar (year 7)

Let your Girl Scout Spirit Soar at Sammamish Day Camp while we explored a full of new and exciting adventures.  


Summer of 2012 – 100 Years & Beyond!! (year 6)

We celebrated 100 years of Girl Scouting at the 2012 Sammamish Girl Scout Day Camp! Campers thought about Girl Scouting through the ages as we take the girls on a journey from the first decade, through the years and on into the future! Girls enjoyed a week full of adventures, challenges and camp fun, while experiencing traditional Girl Scout programming, including nature, knots, fire, cooking, songs, games, first aid and ceremonies.

Summer of 2011 - Go for It! (year 5)

Whether girls wanted to be in the Spot Light, be the first across the Finish Line, 
Take Home the Prize or Live the Suite Life, everyone reach for her dreams! 
Girls had a week full of adventures, challenges and camp fun, while still enjoying traditional 
Girl Scout programming, including nature, knots, fire, cooking, songs, games, first aid and ceremonies. 

Summer of 2010 – Take a walk on the Wild Side! (year 4)

Girls experienced activities based after popular TV programs (Survivor, Amazing Race, Fear Factor, Myth Busters, AND Dirty Jobs). It was a week full of wild adventures, challenges and camp fun!

Summer of 2009 – Things That Make You Say WOW! (year 3)

Camp focused on building girl’s courage, confidence and character as they explores the world of wonder (WOW!).
 The girls explored space and rockets, radical reactions, a carnival, and outdoor camp fun with magic. 


Summer of 2008 – Chart Your Course! (year 2)

The camp focused on different countries and their cultures, including England, Africa, Asia, the Polynesian Islands, and South America.

Summer of 2007 – Girl Scouts Investigate (year 1)

Let your Girl Scout investigate a whole new worlds of around us along with camp traditions!
